Fearless LA Podcast

On this day, we make a bold declaration with our lead pastor, Jeremy Johnson! Today, we take COURAGE! On this Vision Sunday, our pastor shared a glimpse of the next chapter of Fearless Church, with the whole vision shared at our Partner’s Gala. The word God gave us this year is Courage! This year, we will not just “be safe,” we will also be courageous!

This audacious word challenges the listener to look at the past year and ask the tough questions. There is no doubt that this last year has been hard and we had to take precautions, but we have to acknowledge that with every situation comes a spirit. With COVID came the spirit of fear. COVID made us fear for a “good reason.” But our pastor challenges us to no longer live in fear but to take courage.

As you listen to this podcast, prayerfully search your heart and ask yourself the hard questions: have you let fear make you think the church is optional due to “safety precautions?” Have you allowed fear to scare you from thinking church is unnecessary? In this next season, will U-CO-RAGE with us for the sake of Fearless and the sake of Christ?

In today’s podcast, we hear from our very own Pastor Jeremy Johnson on the importance of being planted and rooted in the house of God! We believe God is stirring up something new in the Church, and we’re going to dive deeper into that in this life changing series titled “I Love My Church”.

The last year of our lives has been a whirlwind of epic proportions and that does not exclude churches across the world! Church from home has been a blessing and changed the lives of so many, but with that came a sense of comfort in being isolated and separated from the physical body of Christ. The lion does not go for the unlucky gazelle, it goes for the isolated gazelle! We as believers have to be aware of the enemy’s plan to isolate us and remove us from the body of Christ!

There is hope in knowing that God has a perfect plan for us, and even in the unknown of where our future is when it comes to the world, we know that when we are rooted in the house of God, we have a firm foundation for when life starts shaking again! We encourage you to get plugged in again, and see how God uses you to change the world!

This Sunday, Pastor Jeremy Johnson echoes the declaration Jesus made before his death. This statement made Hell tremble. This statement made the devil cringe. This statement made fear, anxiety, depression, suicide, and so many other sinful demons cower. This statement consisted of three simple words: “It is Finished!”

On the hill called Golgotha, the Place of the Skull, Jesus died as a slave. A would-be king in the eyes of the Jews was crucified on a wooden cross with nails driven into his hands and feet. The devil thought he won. He misheard the words of Jesus and thought He said, “I am finished.”

But no, Jesus instead paid our debt. For every sin we would ever commit. For every sleepless night we would have. For every broken heart and tear shed, He paid for it. Our debt to sin has been paid. Past, present, and future. Now we have the opportunity to come to him, broken and sinful, so Jesus can make us clean. It is finished!
