Today, we celebrate Father’s Day with the Fearless Family and Pastor Jeremy Johnson gives an emotional word on the role of fathers in the lives of both spiritual and physical sons. He shares powerful testimony of his own experience with his father and invites you to dig deep into some things that may have been left behind because of something your father may or may not of said or done.

The need for fathers has never been more apparent than now. Many people, if not all, can attest to some sort of disconnect between themselves and their dad. For some, they may not have the best experience with their dad. For others, they may have no experience at all. What is certain is this: whatever experience we have, a fathers influence in the lives of their children is not only strong but necessary for their proper growth.

How we view our fathers can also have an influence on our Heavenly Father. Many people have a hard time connecting with God because of a disconnect with their earthly father. But today, Pastor Jeremy Johnson extends this invitation: to meet the real, loving, Heavenly Father God who you may have never met fully before.

What if the church walked in it’s full potential? This week, Pastor Jeremy Johnson begins a new sermon series titled “Church of Power.” In many people’s minds, they think that light and darkness are equal. They think that they can coexist even. But the truth of the matter is Light always expels Darkness. That statement is the foundation of this new series.

Light never fights darkness, nor does it negotiate with it. Light obliterates Darkness! So when Darkness is present, this must mean that Light is absent. When Darkness reigns in your life, it means God has not been invited in. But when Jesus steps in, this is when He brings with Him something that can extinguish any darkness: Power!

As we celebrate Juneteenth during the recording of this message, keep in the back of your mind (or the forefront) that the Power that Jesus brings with Him to combat the Darkness is liberating! It brings Freedom! Let this podcast episode remind you that Jesus strengthens us to not only walk in freedom, but also in power, for we are the Church of Power.

When we acknowledge church as a family, our perspective has to change. We have to understand the importance of family, as well as acknowledge that we can’t just take from family, but give and serve! When you start seeing your church as a family, praying for them like a family, and doing life with them like a family, that’s when a spirit of unity is present!

Wherever you’re at today, get plugged in to a church family. Link arms with brothers and sister who share the same vision, and who love Jesus!

We are in a pivotal season within history.. God wants us to partner with each other in deeper ways. He wants us to stop compartmentalizing our lives and creating walls between us and God, or us and people. It is time for you to take your place within the body. The body coming together is a matter of life and death. God put you in the body of Christ to thrive. He placed you as a life-giving being within His beloved bride to breathe life into a dying world. He is waiting to see what you are going to do next.

There may be many challenges along the way. The Lord sometimes tests our responses. He is building resiliency and character within us. He wants us to build the Body of Christ into a family, an army.
